THE PROBLEM

Over time, the metal contact points inside the charging cradle can get pushed down.

If these contact points are not flush with the plastic or sitting slightly above it, they may not make proper contact with the base nut on the collar post, preventing the unit from charging.

TOOLS REQUIRED

  • Small Phillips screwdriver

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

OPEN THE CRADLE

  1. Turn the charging cradle upside down.
  2. Using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws (nuts) from the back of the cradle.

SEPARATE THE UNIT

  1. Gently pull the back piece away from the top piece to expose the inside of the charging cradle.

ADJUST THE CONTACT POINTS

  1. Locate the two metal contact points inside the cradle.
  2. Carefully push or bend the metal strips upward so they sit higher.

REASSEMBLE THE CRADLE

  1. Place the top and back pieces back together.
  2. Reinstall the two screws and tighten them securely.

VERIFY CONTACT POSITION

  1. Look at the top of the charging cradle.
    • The metal contact points should now be flush with the surrounding plastic or sticking up slightly above it.

TEST THE CHARGER

  1. Plug the charging cradle back in.
  2. Dock the collar and confirm that the unit begins charging properly.

FINAL NOTES

  • This issue develops gradually and is common with long-term use
  • Do not over-bend the metal contacts — small adjustments are sufficient
  • If charging issues continue after adjustment, the cradle or collar post may require replacement
