Freedom in the Pasture
Challenge
When Heather got Maggie as a puppy in 2021, she knew she wanted to give her plenty of room to play—but she also had to manage horses in the pasture and deliveries to the property. With 12 acres of open space, Heather worried about Maggie running off, getting into trouble, or being hard to manage while she worked from home.
Solution
We installed a custom boundary system through the horse pasture, giving Maggie about 9 acres to safely roam. With simple training, Maggie learned the limits of her world—stopping even five feet before the audible signal. Deliveries were easily managed by keeping the mailboxes outside the boundary, and Maggie quickly understood where she could and couldn’t go.
Outcome
Now Maggie has freedom, safety, and structure all at once. She can play, fetch, and explore the pasture without ever leaving her safe zone. Heather can work from home without worry, and as she says, the system “literally took the shackles off me.” Maggie is happy, Heather is relaxed, and the pasture is a safe playground for both dogs and horses.
